Qualifications
Bachelor of Architecture, University of Newcastle
As an Architectural Technician at Webber Architects, I collaborate under the project leader to bring our projects to life. My role involves developing both the conceptual and technical aspects of designs, preparing architectural and construction drawings, as well as creating documentation and models for clients and consultants. With a strong team to work alongside, I focus on ensuring every detail aligns with the project vision and standards of quality.
Career Journey: My journey started at the University of Newcastle, where I immersed myself in Architecture, calling the studio my home over the past three years. I graduated in 2023, but long before that, I became familiar with Webber Architects through their exceptional support for students. Working alongside Webber’s Associate, Megan Eiman, who was also a tutor, solidified my admiration for the firm’s commitment to student success and innovation. After completing my degree, I set my sights on joining a team like Webber Architects, which prioritises values, passion, and progressive design—and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be here today.
Passion and Achievements: What excites me most about my work is seeing a project progress from its initial concept to full construction and, ultimately, completion. Knowing I’m contributing to each stage of development gives me a sense of purpose. Additionally, I appreciate that architecture as an industry is constantly evolving towards more sustainable practices, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that positive shift. A highlight of my academic journey was my final Bachelor Studio Project, which was nominated for a University undergraduate award by the Institute of Architecture NSW.
Interests and Hobbies: Outside of work, I love to stay active, spending as much time in nature as possible. Hiking, camping, and gardening are my favourite ways to unwind and stay grounded. My passion for nature extends into my professional interests, as I am particularly curious about natural and biophilic architecture, which emphasises using predominantly natural materials to create healthier, more sustainable spaces.
Future Goals: In the future, I hope to take part in a project from its inception all the way to its completion, experiencing every stage of architectural and construction processes. I am also eager to continue learning about sustainable and innovative design, becoming proficient in all stages of project development, and contributing to structures that foster positive community and environmental impact.
