UGL wheelhouse

The “UGL Wheelhouse Lathe and Depot” is a new workshop and yard in the Hamilton North Industrial precinct which involves the integration of a German Wheel Lathe within tight spatial restrictions.  The project is a fast tracked collaboration between:

–          Webber Architects (Architects)

–          United Goninan’s Limited (Client)

–          APP Corporation (Project Manager)

–          Lindsay and Dynan (Engineers)

–          Aecom (Service Consultants)

–          Romberg Rail (Rail Consultants)

–          Power Solutions (High Voltage Consultants)

Challenges with this project include building to boundaries, rail authority limitations, acoustic requirements, fire separation, geotechnical restrictions, an existing building, access, egress and disabled requirements.  These challenges have been successfully addressed within the space and timeframes of the project.
