Webber designed a new single-storey residence on a generous 2,902 m² site in Raworth, replacing an existing dwelling to create a contemporary family home that harmonises with the surrounding semi-rural setting. The design sits comfortably within the established streetscape of single-storey homes while maximising sunlight, ventilation, and views across the landscape.
The residence includes three bedrooms, a study, media room, open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas that connect seamlessly to a covered alfresco space overlooking the pool and landscaped yard. A restrained material palette of face brick, lightweight cladding, and Colorbond roofing was selected for its durability, low maintenance, and timeless character.
Sustainability measures include AAA-rated plumbing fixtures, rainwater harvesting and reuse, natural cross-ventilation, roof insulation, and photovoltaic panels. The result is a modest, well-proportioned home that balances practicality, comfort, and environmental efficiency while enhancing the local character.
