july 2016 newsletter

This year is proving to be another year of growth for Webber Architects.  Our Sydney office is now firmly established and fully operational with two full time staff members.  Our first commercial office fit out in Sydney, with an area of over 800 square metres, was completed earlier in the year.  It has been interesting to note the trends in the Sydney market which may impact Newcastle in the future.

We are proud to have been given the opportunity to work on various medium density housing projects as well as a range of commercial and institutional projects in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.  We have seen three of our single housing projects completed in the last month which will appear on our website and social media in coming months.

Webber Architects is also pleased to announce some significant senior staff appointments.   Two new Directors to work alongside Director, Jon Webber; two new Associate Directors; and a new Associate have been appointed.  These appointments, the first made since 2014, are newly created positions recognising the contributions made by senior staff members and the critical role this depth of leadership and experience plays in the ongoing success of the firm, and providing a stronger platform of reliability for our clients.

our dedication to giving back

IMG_7190 editThis year so far, Webber Architects has been able to support a variety of national and local charities and local community groups.

We recently hosted an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event and, with contributions from our clients, colleagues and friends, were able to make a donation to Cancer Council Australia. Webber Architects is sponsoring the South Newcastle Rugby League Club this season once again, and has supported St Vincent de Paul Society through sponsoring a client in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout and Cooks Hill Surf Lifesaving Club through sponsoring and participating in its annual golf day. Webber Architects has supported Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service by attending and donating at its High Tea By The Sea event and Girl Friday by attending and donating at its Luncheon event. We have also supported a private client in raising funds to assist re-build in Fiji post Cyclone Winston.

It gives us pleasure to give something back to our community and support those in need.
