This year at Webber Architects we have challenged ourselves to build on our experience in order to continue to produce inspirational buildings and spaces of which, we, our clients and our community, can be proud. With our continued growth we have announced some significant senior staff appointments and welcomed several new staff members. We are proud of the depth of experience and expertise and broad range of skills and services Webber Architects can offer.
This year, we have completed a range of new single and multi-unit residential developments, and residential alterations and additions projects across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie and progress will continue in the new year on several prominent projects currently on site including several commercial mixed-use developments and schools projects.
We are excited to have once again received an Australian Institute of Architects award for a new home project and to have won a significant school design competition (refer to side article).
Expansion of our Sydney office has led to a recent office move. Being able to offer closer service to our Sydney-based clients has resulted in Webber Architects having been involved in several commercial office and retail fit-outs and hotel upgrades. We have also completed residential projects of various scales in and around Annandale, Clovelly and Willoughby.
We are committed to maintaining relationships with our clients, consultants and colleagues. Each relationship and project is important to us. Thank you for continuing to trust us with your project.
Have a happy Christmas and enjoy the festive season! We look forward to working with you and delivering more exciting projects in the new year.
Take care,
Jon Webber and the team at Webber Architects

Webber Architects recently competed in and is honoured to have won a design competition to deliver a new High School in Medowie for the Catholic Schools Office and Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. The High School is to be co-educational from years 7 to 12 for an estimated anticipated enrolment of 1100 students. This project is in response to the identified future demand for Catholic education in the Port Stephens area.
Webber Architects has completed several other Catholic Schools projects including projects at St Mary’s Primary School Scone, St Joseph’s Primary School Kilaben Bay, St James Primary School Muswellbrook, and St Michael’s Primary School Nelson Bay. We are currently working on projects at St James Primary School Kotara South, St Joseph’s Primary School Merewether and St Joseph’s Primary School Kilaben Bay.
Our other experience in the education sector includes projects for University of Newcastle, Central Coast Community College, Newcastle Grammar School, Rathmines Public School, and several early learning centres. Webber Architects has consolidated knowledge, skills and experience to be confident we can deliver a building which captures the client’s vision, services the needs of its users, is at the forefront of architecture, and becomes a positive influence on the wider community.
