Webber led the major interior refurbishment of Charlestown Bowling Club – the most significant upgrade in the club’s history. The project redefined the heart of the venue, creating a sculptural central bar, cocktail station, and new service points that unify the main lounge with two adjoining function rooms. The redesign modernises the club’s identity while improving functionality, circulation, and amenity across all areas.
The space was planned to cater to a diverse membership and program – from weekday bowlers and TAB users to evening functions, art classes, and celebrations. A focus on openness, intuitive flow, and visual cohesion ensures the new interior feels contemporary yet welcoming to all.
Carefully considered joinery, lighting, and finishes give the club a refreshed sense of warmth and sophistication, while durable, low-maintenance materials ensure longevity in this high-use environment. The transformation has reinvigorated the club’s atmosphere and established a flexible, high-performing hospitality venue that reflects its evolving community and future growth.
